Terms and Conditions

By submitting a contact form and/or sending any product or material (“Sample”) to Gastron Sweden AB (“we”, “us”, “our”) for freeze-dry testing or research (“Service”), you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Purpose of the Service

Our service is strictly a research and testing service.
We freeze-dry your Sample to demonstrate results, texture, and viability.
We do not sell or supply any freeze-dried product for resale, consumption, or commercial distribution.

2. Customer Responsibility for Sample Quality

You are fully responsible for ensuring that any Sample you send to us:

  • is safe, fresh, and suitable for handling,

  • is not expired, spoiled, or contaminated,

  • is packaged securely and appropriately,

  • complies with all transport regulations.

We do not inspect, check, test, or verify the quality, safety, or freshness of the Sample before freeze-drying.

If you send us spoiled, expired, or unsafe materials (e.g., rotten meat), we will freeze-dry them as received, and we take no responsibility for the outcome or any issues resulting from poor Sample quality.

3. No Liability for Post-Processing Use

Once we return the freeze-dried Sample to you, it is fully your responsibility.

We are not liable for:

  • how you choose to use the freeze-dried Sample,

  • any consumption, resale, testing, research, or commercial usage,

  • any harm, damage, or loss caused by the Sample or your handling of it.

Our service is not intended for producing edible goods for sale or human/animal consumption.

4. No Warranty or Quality Guarantee

We do not guarantee:

  • the results of the freeze-drying process,

  • that the Sample will behave as expected,

  • that the product will be usable, stable, or suitable for any purpose.

Freeze-drying outcomes depend entirely on the Sample provided — including its condition, composition, age, and preparation.

All results are provided "as is" without any warranty.

5. Right to Refuse Samples

We reserve the right to refuse or dispose of any Sample that:

  • poses a health or safety risk,

  • arrives damaged, leaking, or improperly packaged,

  • violates shipping laws or food safety regulations,

  • contains prohibited or dangerous materials.

We are under no obligation to return unsafe Samples.

6. Sample Disposal

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, any remaining parts of the Sample not returned to you may be safely disposed of after testing.

7. Shipping & Costs

You are responsible for:

  • shipping Samples to us safely,

  • ensuring compliance with all transport rules,

  • covering all shipping/return costs unless otherwise agreed.

We are not responsible for Samples damaged or lost in transit (to us or back to you).

8. Intellectual Property

Any knowledge, data, photos, or feedback we provide as part of the Service remains our intellectual property.
You may use the results freely for your own internal research.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

  • any direct, indirect, or consequential damages,

  • loss of profit, revenue, business, or data,

  • issues caused by your Sample’s condition,

  • contamination, spoilage, or biological risks,

  • misuse or mishandling of the freeze-dried Sample.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service.

10. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting the form on our website, sending a Sample, or using our freeze-dry testing service in any way, you confirm that you:

  • understand these Terms,

  • accept full responsibility for the quality and safety of your Sample,

  • release us from any liability related to the Sample or the freeze-drying results.
